Writing on Wednesday (December 10, 2014)

Writing on Wednesday Badge

Writing on Wednesday is a way to keep this particular writer on track (I hope!). These are weekly posts/updates where I will share something from the past week of writing with the readers of this blog. Sometimes it might be something I’ve learned, found useful, or a bit of my own writing and ideas. I hope this will be a time of sharing, encouragement, and accountability. Join me in setting some writing goals to finish that project and celebrate each success.

I’m doing my normal Writing on Wednesday post a bit different today. First of all, my goal of reading through my novel this month is going much slower than I planned to. I’m just not quite finding the time to spend on it that I want to and hoped to. I still continue to hope to work on it some this month, but it will definitely be carried over into my January goals.

Anyways, since this is the last Writing on Wednesday post for 2014 (there will be a few more blog posts for the year), and these are still fairly new posts to the blog, I am hoping to learn a few things from all of you, and I hope you will take the time to respond to my questions and share your thoughts.

What would you like to see more of in these posts?

Currently, I primarily post a weekly update on my own writing journey and share a writerly quote with some thoughts. Some ideas I’ve had in the past would be to also share some different resources that I have found to be helpful or to perhaps ask various authors to do a guest post about some insights about writing that they would be willing to share.

I appreciate the time that you take to read this little journal of mine, and I really hope that you would be willing to share your thoughts.

  1. I don’t have any new ideas to add to the pile. I love what you’re doing with the Writing posts. My favorite part is the writerly quote. I find so much encouragement and even kinship with other authors through those quotes. I also like the other two ideas you had. Maybe you can change it up once or month or something.
