12 Brides of Summer Collection #3

I’ve been enjoying a number of novella collections lately. One of these series is the 12 Brides of Summer from Shiloh Run Studios. Each book contains three novellas written by three individual authors. There are 4 of these books that are planned to be released this year, and I’m pleased to share my thoughts with you about this second collection.

**I received a copy of this book from NetGalley and Barbour Publishing in exchange for my honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.**

Love Is Buzzing in the Good Old Summertime!  Spend the sunny days of summer relaxing with an ice cold glass of lemonade and revel in the dreams of twelve brides who are a bit surprised by how the men of their dreams come into their lives.  Journey to the Old West, stay on the prairie, and visit quaint small towns. . .without leaving the comfort of your own front porch!

The dog days of summer are here, but love is still in full bloom with Novella Collection #3:

Dog Days of Summer Bride by Margaret Brownley
Music teacher Miralee Davis and blacksmith Tom Colbert don’t realize they’ve been sharing the same dog until. . .it digs up a stash of stolen loot. The reward will go to the dog’s owner—if only that can be decided.

The Dogwood Blossom Bride by Miralee Ferrell
Gracie Addison is a tree-climbing tomboy, and practical Will Montgomery objects to her unladylike influence on his niece. Will his judgmental attitude come back to bite him?

The Lumberjack’s Bride by Pam Hillman
Chicago transplant, Lucy Denson cooks for a logging crew in the Mississippi backwoods until she can return to her idea of civilization. Can Eli Everett help her rethink her ideals?

Dog Days of Summer Bride by Margaret Brownley

This was such a fun novella to start this third book out with. The concept of a dog bringing together two individuals was such fun. I found this story to be well written, a smile or two contained in the tale, and a joy to read. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

The Dogwood Blossom Bride by Miralee Ferrell

This was a simple story with a strong message of learning to trust those we love to God. I enjoyed this story with its well-rounded characters and sweet love story. It was another fun read and a great addition to the 12 Brides of Summer collection.

The Lumberjack Bride by Pam Hillman

This was a gem of a story that waits at the end of this third installment. The characters were charming (and the minor ones nearly steal the show, especially Eli’s mother). It was a story that I really enjoyed.

Overall, I thought this third book of the 12 Brides of Summer Collection was fantastic. All three stories were well written and quite enjoyable. If you aren’t yet ready to say goodbye to summer, pick up this collection.
