**I received a copy of this book from The Tyndale Blog Network in exchange for my honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.**
There are so many things to appreciate about this little book. When my copy first came, I was impressed by the quality of it. The cover of it is an extremely soft leather. The palm tree, birds, and words are all embossed on it. From appearance alone, this is one of those books that would make a wonderful gift.
But inside, there is even more to like. The book can be used in one of two ways. Either a person could start and read a prayer each day or there is a subject index in the back. Every day deals with a different topic. While some are similar (forgiveness and forgiving are two for example) there is also a wide variety (security, transparency, wisdom). Each day has a short prayer and a verse (written in the New Living Translation). While the book isn’t necessarily meaty, it does give some direction and good thoughts within the prayers themselves. Of course, this isn’t a substitute for a Bible, but it does offer some plan for getting into routines of prayer and scripture reading.
