When Love Arrives

28637702An Unlikely Couple Struggles to Reconcile the Burdens of Their Past

Dani Prescott came to the children’s hospital to spy on Brett Somers–so how did she end up on a date with him? Weeks earlier she’d seen an interview in which he blamed her mother for the plane crash that had killed his parents. But the crash had killed her mother as well, so Dani can’t believe the story Brett’s trying to sell to the media.

Vowing to find a way to discredit the privileged–and maddeningly handsome–Brett, Dani has been following him and taking photos, hoping to find something she can use against him. But when she catches his eye instead, she quickly finds herself offering up a fake name and agreeing to a date. Brett knows this mystery girl is hiding something–but he’s got his own secrets to keep. What will happen when he discovers who she really is? Will Dani and Brett look beyond their own heartaches to discover a love that could heal their deepest pain?

Fresh, flirty, and fast-paced, When Love Arrives is an engaging story that will have readers falling in love with the characters as they navigate the tricky waters between romance and revenge.

5 Star

Sometimes, books arrive in my mailbox that I just can’t help but fall in love with. This is what I found in Johnnie Alexander’s When Love Arrives. This book was amazing. It is my first book by this author, and honestly, I can hardly wait to pick up another. In fact, I’ll probably try to pick up book one of the Misty Hollow series soon. So with that said, you could probably jump in on book two (like I did) but I really wish I would have started with book one.

These characters quickly found a spot nestled in a corner of my heart. I loved how real they were. These are the type of characters that might actually remind you of yourself or someone that you know–and I for one greatly appreciated that. It adds a certain authenticity to the story. Brings it a bit more to life. And this plot had a few secrets that you just knew would wreak havoc in the character’s lives. You just didn’t know the when, where, or what of it. But you knew it was coming and it kept you turning pages.

I loved this book and I would highly recommend it. I’m hoping to get to that first book soon before the third book comes out in summer of 2017.
